This project simulates early Solar System processes to understand the formation and chemical composition of terrestrial planets. It employs advanced experimental techniques to investigate isotope fractionation and the effects of irradiation on planetary materials.
This project aims at simulating the processes that took place in the early Solar System to determine how these processes shaped the chemical and isotope compositions of solids that accreted to ultimately form terrestrial planets.
Planetary materials exhibit mass dependent and mass independent isotope signatures and their origin and relationships are not fully understood.
