The project focuses on advancing the science of mixing, exploring how substances disperse in deforming environments. By developing new predictive models and visualization techniques, it aims to enhance understanding of mixing processes across various applications, from environmental to industrial contexts.
Mixing is the science describing the evolution of the concentration of a substance (tracers, chemicals, heat, bacteria...) in acontinuum substrate that is possibly deforming.
