The project aims to unravel the genetic architecture of complex traits using the yeast model organism. By employing advanced genomic technologies, it seeks to identify genetic variants affecting mitochondrial function, providing insights into the genetics of multifactorial diseases.
The vast majority of genetic diseases are complex traits, conditioned by multiple genetic and environmental factors.
