This project aims to develop cooperative mobility technologies for vehicle platooning to enhance fuel efficiency and safety in goods transport. By creating a real-time coordination system, it seeks to optimize the formation and management of vehicle platoons on the road.
The objective of the project is to develop co-operative mobility technologies for supervised vehicle platooning, in order to improve fuel efficiency and safety for goods transport.
The potential social and environmental benefits inducted by heavy-duty vehicle platoons (or road trains) have been largely proven.
