This project aims to enhance the efficiency of Air Traffic Management (ATM) services in Europe by promoting a Common Service approach. By harmonizing air navigation services, it seeks to reduce costs and improve overall performance in areas such as capacity, safety, and flight efficiency.
The legacy of Air Traffic Management (ATM) evolution in Europe has resulted in today’s highly fragmented, country-based, services. A consequence of this fragmentation, there is a negative impact on the cost in the provision of ATM service in Europe. A fundamental goal of the Single European Sky initiative is to “provide ATM services to airspace users at a cost of at least 50 % less”.
