This project investigates how our brain forms and utilizes color expectations to enhance perception and reaction in various situations, such as sports and driving. By combining advanced brain imaging techniques, it aims to clarify the neural mechanisms behind color anticipation and its impact on conscious awareness.
Whether doing sports or driving through city traffic, our visual system constantly builds expectations to predict and quickly react to upcoming events.
However, despite the great importance of expectations, their form and neural implementation remain a mystery.
