This project investigates the dynamics of cold gases of Rydberg atoms and polar molecules, focusing on their interactions and cooling mechanisms. It aims to understand non-equilibrium dynamics and simulate complex systems in atomic and molecular science.
Cold gases of electronically excited Rydberg atoms and groundstate polar molecules have generated considerable interest in cold matter physics, by introducing for the first time many-body systems with interactions which are both long-range and tunable with external fields.
