This project investigates how we understand the actions and intentions of others by studying the neural mechanisms in monkeys. It focuses on the organization of specific brain areas involved in motor act understanding and the differences in these processes between typical development and autism.
How do we understand the actions and intentions of others?
Hereby we intend to address this issue by using a multidisciplinary approach.
Our project is subdivided into four parts.
In the first part we investigate the neural organization of monkey area F5, an area deeply involved in motor act understanding.
