COFRET focuses on improving carbon footprint calculations for freight transport and logistics. The project aims to standardize methodologies to enhance comparability across different transport modes and supply chains, thereby promoting more sustainable practices in the logistics sector.
With foreign direct investments still on the rise and on-going globalization of production and distribution activities, supply chains are often of international nature, encompassing a wide range of various transports and handling elements.
