CO2CARE is focused on demonstrating carbon capture and storage technology, specifically addressing the safe abandonment of CO2 storage sites. The project aims to develop technologies and procedures to ensure long-term safety and integrity of these sites post-closure.
CO2CARE aims to support the large scale demonstration of CCS technology by addressing the research requirements of CO2 storage site abandonment.
