The project aims to develop an integrated design toolbox for offshore wind farm clusters, optimizing the overall performance of wind farms. It combines various design tools and control mechanisms to enhance energy yield and operational efficiency in offshore wind energy production.
Today, an offshore wind farm is merely a collection of wind turbines where the components of an offshore wind farm cluster are optimized but not the overall cluster.
In the future, the best-performing wind farms will be designed with an integrated approach.
