This project aims to develop cleaning devices for the leading edges of commercial aircraft, focusing on adapting existing technologies from sailplanes. It will evaluate innovative solutions and redesign dynamic elements to meet civil aviation standards, ensuring compatibility with surface treatments and coatings.
The main objective of this project is to explore the possible solutions for cleaning devices capable of clearing out the leading edges of business jets or airliners.
Particular attention will be carried out in the modification of already existing devices on sailplanes.
The cleaning concept will be compatible with the surface treatment/coating of the leading edge of commercial aircrafts.In a first step, the work will focus on concept trade-offs.
