This study investigates the structure-function relationship of cilia in relation to hedgehog signaling, which is crucial for embryonic development and linked to certain diseases. The research aims to clarify how ciliary structure affects the localization of signaling proteins.
Cilia are microtubule-based organelles with essential motile, sensory and signaling functions.
