CHICOS aims to enhance child health in Europe by coordinating mother-child cohort research. The project focuses on consolidating data from various cohorts, identifying knowledge gaps, and developing actionable recommendations for policy improvements in key health areas affecting children.
Mother-child cohorts are currently collecting a wealth of information on childhood diseases and their determinants across Europe, but these data are often of fragmented nature and there is little coordination to structure and consolidate scattered research.
