This project investigates the formation of stars and planets by studying the gas and dust in interstellar clouds. Using advanced observational techniques, it aims to understand the physical and chemical processes in star-forming regions, linking them to the origins of solar systems and exoplanetary atmospheres.
When interstellar clouds collapse to form new stars and planets, the surrounding gas and dust become part of the infalling envelopes and rotating disks, thus providing the basic material from which new solar systems are made.
