The CHEMICIRCUS initiative aims to bridge the gap between researchers and the public by showcasing the importance of chemistry in everyday life through engaging circus-themed activities. The project promotes science appreciation and highlights researchers as relatable individuals, targeting a wide audience in Porto.
The purpose of the “CHEMICIRCUS” initiative is to continue to tackling the existing stereotypes of researchers and bringing closer to one another researchers and public at large in order to make the latter aware of the important role and benefits resulting from the researcher's job to their daily life and well being.
The 2011 event will have a special focus in Chemistry, as it is the International Year of Chemistry, and as the project intents to contribute to the recognition of the contributions…
