This project investigates the role of a specific enzyme, p110beta, in cancer signaling using genetically modified mouse models. It aims to clarify how different isoforms of phosphoinositide 3-kinases contribute to pancreatic cancer, with the goal of improving therapeutic strategies for this lethal disease.
PI 3-kinases (PI3Ks) are key signal transduction enzymes which are generally considered to be excellent new targets for therapeutic interference.
