This project investigates the concept of predictive processing in the brain's visual cortex. It aims to identify specific neuron types that contribute to maintaining an internal model of the world by comparing predictions with sensory input, potentially informing treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders.
One promising theoretical framework to explain the function of cortex is predictive processing.
