The project examines how changes in conceptual definitions can lead to miscommunication and inquiry disruptions. It aims to evaluate and improve the processes of conceptual engineering by addressing the limitations of current strategies and proposing new methods for clearer communication across various disciplines.
In our daily lives, we often take our concepts for granted.
Yet, in particular circumstances, it may turn out that the concepts we use are defective in relevant respects, and need to be revised (think, for instance, of the concept of marriage in several legal systems).
