This project explores the role of the Wnt-signaling pathway in cell growth and cancer. It focuses on how the protein β-catenin forms condensates that influence gene activation and aims to understand its implications for cancer development and cellular regulation.
The Wnt-signaling pathway is a key determinant of cell identity and proliferation.
However, when aberrantly activated it drives malignant cell proliferation in gastrointestinal cancer, breast cancer, melanoma and leukemia.
