This project addresses the challenge of accurately measuring helium abundances in stars to improve our understanding of stellar properties. It employs asteroseismic techniques to create a reliable map linking observable properties to initial helium content.
In the epoch of Gaia, fundamental stellar properties will be made widely available for large numbers of stars.
These properties are expected to unleash a new wave of discovery in the field of astrophysics.
