This project explores the role of cardiac fibroblasts in heart function by developing murine models to study their interactions with heart muscle cells. The research aims to uncover how these cells influence heart rhythm and could lead to new treatments for heart diseases.
Cardiac connective tissue is regarded as passive in terms of cardiac electro-mechanics.
