CapCell aims to enhance forensic evidence collection for sexual violence cases by developing a toolkit that utilizes microfluidics and single-cell genomics. This innovative approach will improve the isolation and analysis of DNA from complex biological mixtures, aiding in the prosecution of offenders.
Sexual violence affects 1 in 10 women across Europe and has increased by 10% alone in 2021-2022.
