This research explores the evolutionary patterns of Indo-Pacific rodents, focusing on their morphological diversity and ecological adaptations. By analyzing these species, the project aims to understand the relationship between form, function, and ecological divergence.
Over the last 25 million years, the Indo-Pacific ""rats"" have undergone an explosive radiation.
Their diversification has resulted in taxa with (i) a wide (putatively adaptive) and (ii) narrow (putatively non-adaptive) range of morphological disparity with or without clear ecological divergence.
