CacheMire aims to enhance mobile data traffic management by developing a caching architecture at the network's edge. This project focuses on creating tools for content providers and optimizing resource usage in next-generation wireless networks.
Mobile data traffic sharply increases each year, due to the rich multi-media applications, video streaming, social networks, and billions of connected users and devices.
This increasing mobile data traffic is expected to reach by 2018 roughly 60% of total network traffic.
