This project examines the impact of environmental changes on the microbiome of the butterfly species Colias eurytheme. By mapping microbiome diversity and its relationship with thermal tolerance, the research aims to enhance understanding of how bacteria influence host adaptation to climate change.
Global changes in climate, habitat structure and land-use patterns all have major consequences on biodiversity and the integrity of natural ecosystems.
