This project focuses on enhancing crop resilience to climate stress by utilizing transposable elements to drive genetic diversity. By controlling the mobility of these elements, the research aims to accelerate the breeding of crops that can better withstand environmental challenges.
The rapidly changing climate puts commonly used crop plants under strong pressure.
