The EdgeTwins HPC project aims to create an open-source software tool for developing digital twins that operate on Edge devices. This initiative seeks to make advanced simulation technologies accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises, enhancing real-time applications across various industries.
Digital twins, along with the Internet of Things and Edge computing , are expected to play a decisive role in the next decade’s industrial markets (Industry 4.0) enabling dramatic improvements in complex systems design and operation.
