This project investigates synthetic systems that mimic natural self-assembly processes to create responsive materials. By using light-activated swimmers, the goal is to develop macroscopic structures that can communicate and adapt, showcasing life-like properties through dynamic interactions.
Nature exploits transient self-assembled architectures that require a continuous input of energy to express functional properties across length scales.
