This project focuses on overcoming the challenges of high-dimensional problems in scientific computing, which become increasingly complex with more variables. It aims to develop broadly applicable numerical strategies that improve efficiency in various applications, including statistical learning and optimization.
This project is concerned with problems that involve a very large number of variables, and whose efficient numerical treatment is challenged by the so-called curse of dimensionality, meaning that computational complexity increases
