The BRAIN project develops an integrated framework that coordinates Energy Management Systems and Battery Management Systems in smart buildings. By utilizing advanced AI techniques, it aims to optimize energy use, reduce costs, and enhance battery longevity while supporting renewable energy integration.
Buildings account for ~40% of final energy use and 36% of CO2 emissions in the EU, making them critical for achieving the European Green Deal targets.
