Bots2ReC aims to automate the removal of asbestos in construction sites using robotic systems. The project focuses on developing a robotic solution that can safely perform hazardous tasks, enhancing efficiency and worker safety in rehabilitation environments.
Despite the high degree of industrial automation, robotic solutions are not yet prevalent in construction and demolition industry due to the complex environment and demanding requirements.
For hazardous tasks, like the removal of asbestos contamination from a flat (rehabilitation site), manual performance is very inefficient, due to the intense safety measures.
