BOSS-WAVES addresses the solar coronal heating problem by developing advanced models for wave heating mechanisms in the solar atmosphere. The project aims to simulate how transverse waves contribute to heating and plasma dynamics in the solar corona.
The solar coronal heating problem is a long-standing astrophysical problem.
The slow DC (reconnection) heating models are well developed in detailed 3D numerical simulations.
