The BONE project aims to enhance collaboration in the field of optical networks by creating Virtual Centres of Excellence. It focuses on developing high-capacity, flexible optical networks that can support diverse applications and a growing number of connected devices, ultimately improving data transport efficiency.
The BONE-proposal builds on the foundations laid out by the ePhoton/ONe projects in the previous Framework Programme.
