This project explores the intersection of biodiversity protection and global security, focusing on wildlife trafficking as a source of funding for organized crime and terrorism. It aims to develop new theoretical frameworks and empirical data to address these challenges.
The core intellectual aim of BIOSEC is to explore whether concerns about biodiversity protection and global security are becoming integrated, and if so, in what ways.
