The BIOCTANE project focuses on converting organic waste into sustainable jet fuel through innovative biotechnological and thermocatalytic processes. It aims to create a market-ready solution that reduces greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation sector by utilizing waste materials.
The reduction of GHG emissions according to the Paris Agreement is particularly challenging regarding the production of “green” liquid fuels with a high energy density for the aviation sector (drop-in biokerosene).
