This research investigates the role of microRNAs in regulating circadian rhythms and behavior. The project aims to deepen understanding of how these small RNA molecules influence the biological clock and related physiological processes.
A prominent theme in biology is the mechanism underlying the response of organisms to changes in their environment. miRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that serve as post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression.
Translational control by miRNAs is emerging as a major regulatory component of many developmental, physiological and metabolic pathways.
