BioCarbon Engineering has developed an automated tree-planting system using drones and machine learning to enhance reforestation efforts. This innovative approach aims to address the global loss of trees by enabling faster and cheaper planting in hard-to-reach areas.
Currently used methods for reforestation and tree-planting such as hand planting and direct seeding are time-consuming and expensive.
As a result tree-planting has been unable to keep up with number of trees lost each year.
