This project investigates how gut microbiota influences aggression in animals, specifically in flies and mice. By examining the effects of antibiotics and specific microbes, the research aims to uncover the biological pathways linking microbiota, hormones, and aggressive behavior.
Aggression is one of the most important social behaviors in nature for procreation and survival.
However, understanding the underlying pathways and networks leading to aggression remains a major challenge.
