This project investigates how mutations in the FOXO1 gene affect B-cell lymphomas, particularly in the absence of B-Cell Receptor signaling. By using mouse and human models, it aims to understand the role of these mutations in enhancing cell survival and fitness in cancerous B cells.
Loss of B-Cell Receptor (BCR) in lymphoma B cells leads to attenuated PI3K/AKT signaling and altered Myc-dependent transcriptional output, resulting in a competitive disadvantage in BCR-deficient lymphoma cells.
