The BASELINE project aims to enhance food safety by developing harmonized sampling methods and performance criteria for assessing biological and chemical risks in food products across Europe. It focuses on creating predictive models and improving risk assessment protocols to protect public health.
Food Safety Objectives (FSO) and Performance Objectives (PO) are new criteria complementing the existing concepts of microbiological criteria and MRL for many chemical contaminants.
