The project studies the Bantu Expansion in Central Africa, focusing on the Congo Basin. It investigates how rivers influenced the settlement and subsistence strategies of diverse Bantu-speaking communities through a multidisciplinary approach that includes linguistics, anthropology, and archaeology.
The “Bantu Expansion”, a research theme within the precolonial history of Central Africa, unites scholars of different disciplines.
