This project examines the impact of banking market structures on credit supply to non-financial firms in Germany, France, and Italy during financial crises. It aims to identify how local market characteristics influence firms' access to financing and their economic performance.
The proposal aims to investigate the existing relationship between banking market structures (e.g. banks’ headquarter location, efficiency and banks board of directors ) and the supply of credit to non-financial firms by looking and comparing German, French and Italian banking systems during financial turmoil.
