This project develops a new antimicrobial surface for medical devices to prevent infections and biofilm formation. It uses a unique polymer network that releases antimicrobial agents, aiming to improve patient outcomes and reduce drug resistance.
Outbreaks of clinical infections affect many thousands of patients in Europe yearly.
