BabyLux aims to improve the care of preterm infants by providing a non-invasive device that monitors cerebral oxygen metabolism and blood flow. This technology seeks to detect brain damage early, addressing a critical need in neonatal intensive care units.
Over the last two decades preterm babies (neonates with less than 37 weeks of gestational period) have rise tremendously reaching 15 million births worldwide in 2014, and the figures are growing.
