This project aims to advance the understanding of lipid transport and metabolism, which is crucial for addressing various diseases. By developing high-throughput screening technologies, it seeks to provide tools for the pharmaceutical industry to design effective treatments for conditions like fatty liver disease.
Dysregulation of lipid transport and metabolism is at the center of many diseases.
Despite its crucial role, gaining a full understanding of lipid transport remains challenging as visualizing lipids and their transport by microscopy is almost impossible.
