The ATLAS project develops a global radar network to enhance space safety by detecting small debris and facilitating collision avoidance for satellites. This service aims to extend satellite lifetimes and reduce the need for maneuvering, benefiting both small satellite fleets and larger constellations.
The ATLAS project aims at developing the first service of Space Safety.
Based on a network of 7 radars deployed around the world with a new design for scanning and tracking, capable to detect debris down to centimetric size, and through fusing data from its network and other sources, Look Up Space aims at extending the lifetime of satellites through collision avoidance and decreased number of collision avoidance manoeuvres of satellites.
This service will be applicable to small satellite fleets…
