This project aims to develop new models for assessing the impacts of human activities on marine ecosystems using life cycle assessment. It focuses on quantifying losses in ecosystem services and the effects of marine pollution and invasive species.
The marine ecosystem covers around 70% of the planet.
Today, every single part of this vast ecosystem is affected by at least one anthropogenic driver of change.
