ASTEASY PoC focuses on optimizing the production of Astaxanthin, a valuable carotenoid, from genetically engineered microalgae. The project aims to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs, paving the way for commercial viability in various applications.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid with a high commercial value.
Its high anti-oxidant activity makes Astaxanthin being used as a food/feed supplements, in cosmetics, and in nutraceutics.
