The ASMIDIAS project focuses on creating asymmetric microenvironments to study cell interactions with their surroundings. By developing new fabrication techniques, it aims to enhance understanding of cell behavior in tissue engineering and related fields.
The interaction of cells with the extracellular matrix or neighboring cells plays a crucial role in many cellular functions, such as motility, differentiation and controlled cell death.
